Score at the Farmer's Market!
Oct. 3rd, 2005 01:15 pmSCORE!
Round challah, with raisins - the kind you only make for Rosh Hashanah
Maitake mushrooms - fresh off the farm, still smelling wonderfully earthy
Beets - bunches, all set for pickling, and we have not only the champagne vinegar, but the fresh tarragon, straight from Alton Brown's recipe.
Corn - all white, but picked this morning
Carrots - pretty pretty.
Jonagold apples - tart and ready for THE PIE.
...on the list for next time - brussel sprouts!
And they're going to stay open in Central through Thanksgiving. Hoo boy, it's going to be a great Sukkot!
